Netanyahu Endorses Plan for 100 New Settlements in West Bank Areas A and B
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Yehoshua Sherman, a bereaved father who lost his son Yehuda Shmuel in a terror attack in the West Bank, to discuss a strategic plan for expanding Jewish settlements. Sherman, a member of the forum "Home - Returning to the Homeland Lands," presented a detailed proposal to establish 100 new Jewish settlement points in open areas within West Bank Areas A and B, territories currently under Palestinian control as per the Oslo Accords.
Sherman emphasized that the proposed settlements would be located in open spaces that do not require the evacuation of existing populations. He expressed gratitude to Netanyahu for his ongoing efforts to strengthen settlements and for the establishment of numerous farms and communities throughout Judea and Samaria. Sherman urged the Prime Minister to officially adopt the plan, stating, "It is either us on the hills or the Nukhba (elite Palestinian forces)."
The forum presenting the plan was founded about two months ago by Eliav Libi, a founder of West Bank farms and father of David Libi, who was killed in combat in the Gaza Strip, alongside Yehoshua Sherman. Sherman’s son was killed in a terror attack near the Shuva Israel farm in the West Bank approximately three months ago. This initiative reflects a push to expand Jewish presence in contested areas without displacing Palestinians, aligning with Netanyahu’s broader settlement policies.
