Extreme Heat Waves Sweep Across Israel with Temperatures Peaking in Southern Regions

On Sunday, Israel is experiencing heavy heat waves across many regions, with temperatures remaining largely stable compared to recent days. The morning will start with partly cloudy skies, clearing up later to mostly sunny conditions. Similar weather is expected on Monday, with no significant temperature changes.

Heat alerts have been issued for various parts of the country, including severe heat in the southern Golan Heights, northeastern Samaria, and extensive areas of the Negev Desert. Extremely hot conditions are forecasted for the Beit She'an Valley, northern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea area, and the Gulf of Eilat. The Jordan Valley and northern Arava are also expected to face high temperatures during midday and evening hours.

Temperature forecasts for key cities include Jerusalem at 19-29°C, Tel Aviv at 26-30°C, Haifa at 24-30°C, Safed at 19-30°C, Katzrin at 21-36°C, Tiberias at 23-35°C, Nazareth at 21-33°C, Afula at 23-34°C, Beit She'an at 26-37°C, Lod at 25-31°C, Ashdod at 25-31°C, Ein Gedi at 27-38°C, Beersheba at 23-33°C, Mitzpe Ramon at 20-32°C, and Eilat reaching a high of 40°C.

Residents are advised to take precautions against the intense heat, especially in the southern and eastern regions where temperatures are expected to be most extreme.
