Nevé Yaakov Group Celebrates Completion of the Or HaChaim Study Cycle

In the kibbutz of Nevé Yaakov, a group of dedicated learners recently gathered for a celebratory meal marking the completion of their study of the sacred book Or HaChaim. This weekly study session, held late at night after the third prayer service, involves the consistent group members who have successfully completed the entire book, studying it section by section.

The event was honored by the presence of the yeshiva head, Rabbi Moshe Ben Shoshan, who delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the spiritual benefits of studying Or HaChaim. He elaborated on the profound teachings of Rabbi Chaim Ben Attar, the author of Or HaChaim, and highlighted the great merit of the group’s weekly engagement with the weekly Torah portion through this holy text.

Rabbi Ben Shoshan noted that this study opens the gates of heaven and fosters deep self-reflection and renewed connection to the Torah. The group meets every week late at night after a full day of Torah study to delve into the pure teachings of the holy Or HaChaim. This weekly lesson has become a true tradition in the kibbutz, known for its special spiritual elevation and meticulous study of the weekly Torah portions from the Or HaChaim book.
