Rabbi Netanel Nami Expands Study of the Holy Or HaChaim Text into Major Educational Initiative
Several years ago, Rabbi Netanel Nami was approached by a man requesting to organize a group of scholars to study the holy book Or HaChaim in merit of a personal salvation he needed. Rabbi Nami agreed, and after some time, the man reported that he had received the salvation he hoped for. This initial event sparked Rabbi Nami's deeper involvement with the Or HaChaim text. He studied writings from leading rabbis about the book and encountered numerous stories highlighting the spiritual benefits and divine assistance granted to those who study it.
Over the years, Rabbi Nami expanded his engagement with Or HaChaim by founding the Or HaChaim kollels and the Or HaChaim association. Additional study frameworks were developed alongside efforts to print and distribute books and pamphlets related to the text. Participants and supporters have consistently reported feelings of spiritual strengthening and heavenly aid accompanying their regular study.
Currently, the initiative includes regular study groups of scholars learning the sacred Or HaChaim texts, ongoing printing and distribution of related materials, and organized study schedules. A key project is the "Or HaChaim Daily," a year-long study program that delivers structured commentary lessons to participants’ homes at a subsidized cost of about 30 shekels, aiming to make the study accessible to a broad audience.
For Rabbi Nami, the primary goal is not just establishing study frameworks but broadening the circle of learners. He believes that as more Jews engage with Or HaChaim study, the educational activities, kollels, and distribution efforts will continue to grow, ensuring the ongoing vitality of this spiritual endeavor.
