Beitar Jerusalem Adopts Bundesliga-Style Training Ahead of European Matches
Beitar Jerusalem has introduced a new training regimen inspired by the Bundesliga as it prepares for its upcoming European fixtures. Head coach Almog Cohen, who previously played in Germany for Ingolstadt, implemented a schedule featuring three daily training sessions, starting as early as 6:30 a.m. Cohen explained to the players that this approach helped him reach peak readiness during his playing days in Germany. Despite the demanding schedule, the team is adapting to the changes as it gears up for its first match against Bulgarian side Boteb Vertasa on Friday at 3 p.m.
Injury concerns remain as Tomer Yosefi is still not fully fit and may miss the first of two matches against AEK Larnaca scheduled for July 23. Meanwhile, Omer Atzili has intensified his training and is reintegrating smoothly with the squad. Following the match against Boteb Vertasa, Beitar Jerusalem will face another Bulgarian team, Arda, continuing their preseason preparations ahead of the Israeli Premier League season.
