Xiaomi Launches Fully Independent Solar-Powered Security Camera with 4G Connectivity

Xiaomi has introduced the Smart Solar Camera 4 Pro 4G Dual-Camera Edition, a new security camera designed for remote areas without access to electricity or Wi-Fi. The camera operates entirely independently, featuring a built-in 9,900mAh battery, a 7.6W solar panel, and 4G cellular connectivity via a SIM card, enabling real-time remote monitoring from anywhere. This makes it ideal for rural locations, construction sites, farms, or any place lacking stable communication infrastructure.

The device includes dual 5-megapixel sensors delivering 3K resolution video, full-color night vision, two-way audio, and AI-based motion detection that distinguishes humans to reduce false alarms. It is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability for long-term outdoor use. The camera integrates with Xiaomi's HyperConnect ecosystem and can be managed through the Mi Home app, allowing users to receive alerts and control settings via cellular networks.

Initially, the camera will be available exclusively in China through a crowdfunding campaign on the Youpin platform, priced at 579 yuan (approximately 80 USD). While no global launch has been announced, Xiaomi may expand distribution to other markets in response to growing demand for autonomous security solutions.
