Rabbanit Tova Eliya Shares Strength and Hope After Son's Severe Accident
Rabbanit Tova Eliya, head of the seminary in Pisgat Ze'ev and mother of Eitan David, who was severely injured in a car accident over a year ago, opened up about her family's ongoing struggle and her personal choice to remain positive. Eitan David, 29, who is married to Atiya, the widow of Yehuda Dimentman, z"l, and mother of their son David, suffered a serious head injury and has been in minimal consciousness since the accident. Atiya was also injured in the crash.
In a heartfelt post, Eliya described the past year as an extremely challenging period but emphasized the "gift of choice" they have embraced amid the hardship. She shared that she consciously decided to smile, invest in her children, cook, and maintain physical activity like Pilates and morning walks. Despite the deep pain and longing, she chooses not to succumb to despair.
Eliya reflected on the difficult questions she faced, such as how to navigate such a complex path, avoid giving up, and support the entire family. Inspired by her experience, she announced plans to conduct talks, workshops, and meetings to share her journey and help others find light in difficult times. She invited others to join her on this path of resilience and hope.
