Mother of Nova Massacre Victim Demands Full Investigation on 1,000-Day Anniversary

Sheli Meshel-Yogev, mother of Libi Cohen-Maguri who was killed in the Nova party massacre, spoke at the main rally in Tel Aviv marking 1,000 days since the October 7 attack. She expressed the enduring pain of losing her daughter, saying, "For 1,000 days I have been a mother to a child who never grew up." Meshel-Yogev recalled the haunting last words of her daughter, who said, "Mom, they are coming to shoot me again." She emphasized the ongoing frustration that after nearly three years, the full responsibility for the tragedy has not yet been investigated.

Meshel-Yogev stressed that the call for a comprehensive inquiry is not political, stating, "This is not about right or left, coalition or opposition. It is a demand from parents who have buried their children." Her speech highlighted the deep grief and the urgent need for accountability following the devastating attack at the Nova event.
