Israel Approves Immediate Transfer of 15 Billion Shekels to IDF Amid Budget Gap

Significant progress has been made in negotiations between Israel's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Defense regarding the defense budget. According to information obtained by ynet, a budget gap of approximately 40 billion shekels has emerged by the end of the fiscal year. It was agreed that an immediate transfer of 15 billion shekels will be made to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as the first step.

The remaining 25 billion shekels are expected to be disbursed later in the year in installments. These subsequent transfers will depend on the actual pace of budget execution and further agreements between the Finance and Defense ministries.
