Former Meretz Member Uri Zakhi Denounces B'Tselem as Anti-Israel Organization

Uri Zakhi, former member of the Meretz and Democratic parties and CEO of the Herzl Center, recently announced his departure from Yair Golan's party and declared his political support for Gadi Eizenkot and the "Yashar" party. On Thursday, Zakhi expressed strong criticism of the Israeli human rights organization B'Tselem during an interview on the Knesset Channel. He stated, "I am truly ashamed that I was once associated with it. It is a disgrace to me that B'Tselem calls itself an Israeli organization." Zakhi further accused B'Tselem of labeling Israel an apartheid state while Mansour Abbas sits in the coalition, calling the group "anti-Israel" and claiming it has become increasingly extreme.
