Pro-Palestinian Fan Threatens Israeli Delegation at 2026 World Cup Match

During the 2026 World Cup match between Germany and Paraguay, a pro-Palestinian fan wearing a Palestine shirt threatened a group of Israeli fans, including orphans and children with special needs. The incident occurred as the Israeli delegation, part of the "Realizing the World Cup Dream USA 2026" project, attended the game wrapped in Israeli flags. Security quickly intervened and removed the threatening fan from the stadium.

The delegation, organized by the "Together We Will Win" organization led by Shay Gaucher and the "Realizing the Dream" association headed by Gilad Solter, included dozens of participants, among them 45 orphans from the Iron Swords war and victims of October 7, as well as 22 children with special needs. They traveled to the World Cup to fulfill their dream of witnessing the global football event firsthand.

Shlomi Cohen, a member of the delegation, recounted the tense moment when the fan approached them aggressively. In response, the group spontaneously sang "El El Israel," drawing attention from the entire stadium and refusing to be intimidated. Cohen also noted that at other matches, the delegation faced verbal abuse and attempted attacks from pro-Palestinian individuals outside the stadiums.

Despite these challenges, the delegation remains focused on bringing joy to the children, emphasizing their resilience and right to enjoy the experience after all they have endured.
