Pro-Palestinian Fan Threatens Israeli Delegation at World Cup Match in US

During the 2026 World Cup match between Germany and Paraguay, a pro-Palestinian fan wearing a Palestine shirt threatened a group of Israeli supporters, including orphans and children with special needs. The Israeli delegation, organized by the "Together We Win" organization and the "Dream Fulfillment" association, had traveled to the US to fulfill their dream of attending the World Cup. The group included 45 orphans from the Iron Swords war and victims of the October 7 attacks, along with 22 children with special needs.

The incident occurred while the delegation sat together in the stadium, many wrapped in Israeli flags and holding pictures of fallen heroes. Shlomi Cohen, a member of the delegation, described the moment as tense, noting the fan approached them aggressively but was quickly removed by security. In response, the group spontaneously sang "El El Israel," drawing attention and showing resilience.

Cohen also reported that at other matches, the delegation faced verbal abuse and attempted attacks by pro-Palestinian individuals outside the stadiums. Despite these challenges, the organizers emphasized their mission to bring joy to the children, stating that nothing would stop them from ensuring the kids enjoy the experience after all they have endured.
