Israeli Journalist Guy Maroz Expresses Regret Over Past Actions, Denies Apologizing to Netanyahu

Israeli journalist and TV host Guy Maroz addressed recent reports about him, clarifying his stance amid controversy. In a video statement, Maroz denied apologizing to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasizing that he felt ashamed of his past conduct before legal facts were clear. He explained that his previous comments on Netanyahu’s show 'The Patriots' on Channel 14 were misunderstood, and he expressed regret for leading large protests in 2022 that accused Netanyahu of bribery prematurely. "I am ashamed of what I did because I should have waited for the legal verdict," Maroz said.

Maroz also reaffirmed his political position, stating he does not support Netanyahu and openly revealed that he votes for Mansour Abbas. He reiterated that he never apologized to Netanyahu because he had no reason to do so. Maroz further disclosed that he has told Netanyahu directly that he does not want him to remain prime minister and wants him to leave office. He recounted a conversation where Netanyahu asked if he would vote for him, to which Maroz replied, "No, that will not happen."
