Hapoel Be'er Sheva Pursues Maccabi Netanya Midfielder Maor Levi Amid Transfer Standoff

Hapoel Be'er Sheva is actively negotiating to acquire midfielder Maor Levi from Maccabi Netanya, but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement. Netanya recently exercised an option to automatically extend Levi's contract for another season following his strong performance last year, where he scored eight goals and provided five assists despite the team's overall disappointing season.

Be'er Sheva's interest in Levi dates back to the end of last season, largely driven by coach Ran Kojukh, who previously worked successfully with Levi at Maccabi Petah Tikva. The club has made several financial offers, the latest being around 350,000 euros plus the transfer of player Ayalon Almog to Netanya. There is also speculation that goalkeeper Niv Eliasi could be involved in the deal, as Netanya is seeking a goalkeeper, although Eliasi prefers to explore opportunities abroad.

Netanya views Levi as a key player for the upcoming season and is reluctant to release him. Given the limited options in the Israeli player market currently, only an unprecedented financial offer combined with player exchanges might convince Netanya to agree to the transfer. The situation remains unresolved as both sides continue discussions.
