15-Year-Old Names Cow 'Melania' at Washington American Farm Show

Piper Stolipher, a 15-year-old student from West Virginia, named a cow "Melania" after First Lady Melania Trump as part of a school agricultural program. The naming was inspired by the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, with Stolipher explaining that they sought patriotic names and chose Melania because of the cow's hair color resembling the First Lady's. The cow was showcased at the large American Farm Show held last week at the National Mall in Washington, alongside other livestock in the Department of Agriculture's exhibit.

The event attracted visitors such as Maryland resident Meni Rocketly, who celebrated his birthday on the opening day and described the fair as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" with perfect timing. However, local Washington runner Timor Loyanov expressed frustration over route changes caused by construction and closures around the National Mall, noting the area feels different with more tourists and a stronger MAGA atmosphere.
