Hundreds of Vizhnitz Hasidic Scholars Hold Torah Protest Outside Israeli Judiciary

Hundreds of Vizhnitz Hasidic scholars are set to participate in a large-scale protest titled "The Cry of the Torah" today (Wednesday) at 6:00 PM outside the Israeli judicial system. The demonstration aims to protest the perceived harm to the Torah world and the arrests of Torah scholars in Israel. Unlike typical protests, this event will feature a unique religious character, with a temporary study hall established on site where participants will continue their Torah study surrounded by sacred texts to emphasize that the response to challenges against the Torah world is increased Torah learning and vocal support for it.

The Vizhnitz Hasidic community stated that the protest seeks to express the pain of Torah scholars and their families over the current situation, where, according to them, students of Torah are being arrested due to their dedication to study and adherence to their rabbis' instructions. During the event, community rabbis are expected to speak, alongside recitations of Psalms and encouragement for attendees.

Insiders involved in organizing the event described it as an unusual step within the Haredi protest landscape, as it transforms the protest site into an active study hall with continuous Torah study throughout the gathering.
