Gabriel Garland was removed from the British reality show Love Island shortly after arriving, following revelations about his involvement in a violent incident in London in 2019. Although Garland was never charged with any crime, his name appeared in court documents related to a stabbing altercation, prompting the show's producers to eject him from the villa. Garland appeared in the episode aired on Sunday but left the show immediately after the past incident came to light. An ITV spokesperson confirmed his departure without detailing the reasons.

This development follows a recent controversy in the American version of Love Island, where contestant Tyra Davis was removed amid allegations of assault and threats against a minor from 2018. Court documents published by TMZ revealed that the complainant, then 16, sought a restraining order against Davis, who was accused of physical attack and threatening to shoot her with a gun.

The British Love Island has faced multiple similar incidents recently. In late May, contestant Vasana Montgomery was expelled days before the season started after old videos surfaced showing her using racist slurs. In the previous season, two other contestants, Yulisa Escobar and Ciara Ortega, also left the villa due to comparable controversies.
