Israel Gantz Inaugurates Telmon Amphitheater, Promises Cultural Hub in Benjamin Region
Israel Gantz, head of the Benjamin Regional Council, inaugurated the new Telmon Amphitheater located in the Gush Dolav-Telmon area, describing it as a venue capable of hosting thousands. He emphasized that the amphitheater is part of a broader development initiative led by the council in cooperation with the government, which includes establishing new settlements, building roads, and upgrading infrastructure in the region.
Gantz highlighted that after years focused on settlement and infrastructure, the council is now prioritizing cultural development, particularly in western Benjamin. He stated, "Benjamin is rising to a new level, and this time the emphasis is on culture." He promised high-quality cultural events and said that this summer would bring many surprises, attracting visitors from across Israel to experience Benjamin's performances.
He also noted that after decades of residents holding the area, western Benjamin continues to grow and now gains a cultural center. Plans are underway to build another amphitheater in Shiloh alongside the development of the archaeological site and mound there. Gantz concluded, "Benjamin will lead in culture throughout the country. People will come here to enjoy quality culture."
