Israeli Forces Seize Military Grenade and Explosives in Lower Galilee, Suspect Arrested

Two days after uncovering a military explosive device in the village of Tur'an, Northern District police and Border Police National Guard fighters discovered an additional illegal weapon, a military fragmentation grenade, in the same area. The operation led to the arrest of a 29-year-old local resident, who was brought to court on Wednesday morning for a hearing. The security forces acted on intelligence indicating the presence of weapons in a house and nearby open area, where they found the grenade and detained the suspect for investigation.

This marks the second weapons seizure in Tur'an within a few days; on Sunday, authorities confiscated a military explosive and numerous weapon parts during another operation in the village. Police emphasized that since the beginning of the year, over 450 lethal weapons have been seized in the Northern District, with several armed attacks prevented.

The police stated that their officers and Border Police National Guard fighters are working around the clock to combat crime, prevent violent incidents, confiscate illegal weapons, and arrest suspects to ensure public safety. They pledged to continue their determined efforts against illegal arms possession to maintain security and thwart serious crime.
