Levski Sofia Leads High-Value Pursuit of Hapoel Be'er Sheva Star Kings Kangwa

After a stellar season leading Hapoel Be'er Sheva to the championship, Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa is attracting significant interest from multiple European clubs. The most serious offer comes from Bulgarian club Levski Sofia, which has proposed over 2 million euros to acquire Kangwa and offered him a lucrative salary of approximately 750,000 euros per season. Russian clubs Lokomotiv Moscow and Rubin Kazan are also competing for his signature with high salary offers. However, the final decision on Kangwa's future rests with Alona Barkat, the owner of Hapoel Be'er Sheva, who will determine the timing and price of any potential transfer.

Despite the interest, it is expected that Kangwa will eventually leave Be'er Sheva, possibly after participating in the Champions League qualifiers. Kangwa is scheduled to join the team's training camp in Poland on Thursday, although the club expressed dissatisfaction with his absence from last week's training sessions and the camp's opening. Be'er Sheva has made it clear that they will not entertain transfer discussions unless Kangwa fulfills his contractual obligations.

Kangwa, who joined Be'er Sheva's youth system and was signed from Red Star Belgrade in summer 2024 for just 650,000 euros, has been a key player for the club. In his first senior season, he scored 15 goals and provided 8 assists across all competitions, followed by another impressive season with 12 goals and 11 assists. His desire to move to another European club was announced at the end of the recent season, fueling the current transfer interest.
