Ishay Ribo and Israeli Philharmonic to Perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York
Israeli musician Ishay Ribo will perform alongside the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra at Radio City Music Hall in New York on August 27. This concert is part of Ribo's traditional "Elul Performances," held annually before the High Holy Days and aimed at the Jewish community in the United States as well as the general public. Earlier this year, Ribo and the Philharmonic collaborated in Israel with orchestral arrangements of his songs performed at Tel Aviv's Culture Hall and the Binyanei HaUma in Jerusalem. This upcoming New York show marks the first time the joint performance will take place outside Israel.
Ribo's appearance at Radio City Music Hall follows his successful concerts at major New York venues, including Madison Square Garden in 2023 and 2024. Expressing his excitement, Ribo said, "Performing the Elul show at Radio City Music Hall with the Israeli Philharmonic is a great honor and an immense thrill for me. There is something special about this meeting of songs, prayer, the Jewish audience in America, and the Philharmonic's sound, especially at this time."
Ya'ir Meshiach, Secretary General of the Israeli Philharmonic, added, "We are pleased to continue our successful collaboration with Ishay Ribo, a highly respected Israeli voice worldwide, and to bring this joint performance for the first time to Jewish communities and the wider audience in the United States."
