Goncalo Ramos Joins AC Milan in Record-Breaking Transfer Deal
Portuguese forward Goncalo Ramos has officially signed with AC Milan in a historic transfer worth 74 million euros plus bonuses, making him the most expensive signing in the Italian club's history. Ramos, 25, moved from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after winning two European titles with the French club. He has already completed his medical examinations in the United States while participating in the World Cup with his national team.
The transfer was reportedly facilitated by the close relationship between AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Ramos will be the first major acquisition under AC Milan's new sporting director, Ruben Amoretti. Since joining PSG in the summer of 2023, Ramos scored 45 goals and provided 4 assists in 57 appearances across all competitions, often serving as a substitute under coach Luis Enrique.
This transfer surpasses AC Milan's previous record signing, Rafael Leao, who joined from Lille for approximately 49.5 million euros. However, the Serie A record remains with Inter Milan's 74 million euro purchase of Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.
