Man Killed in Suspected Car Bombing in Haifa's Kiryat Haim Neighborhood
A man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a suspected targeted killing involving a car explosion in the Kiryat Haim neighborhood of Haifa. Magen David Adom emergency teams found the man unconscious inside the burning vehicle and shortly after declared him dead at the scene. Police are investigating the incident to determine if there is a criminal motive.
This attack follows a series of deadly car bombings earlier in the week. On Sunday, two men were killed in separate car explosions in Jaffa and Holon. Iyad Arab, 40, was killed in a car bombing on Saharon Street in Jaffa, where his six-year-old son was also in the vehicle and was hospitalized in moderate condition at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon. Hours later, a 25-year-old man known to police was killed in a car explosion on HaLohamim Street in Holon.
Authorities are examining whether these incidents are connected and continue to investigate the motives behind the bombings.
