Car Explosion in Kiryat Haim Suspected to Be Criminal Incident

A car exploded on Monday in Kiryat Haim, with no confirmed casualties yet. Authorities suspect the explosion is linked to criminal activity. Two days earlier, a 38-year-old man was killed in a car explosion on Saharon Street in Jaffa, which also injured his six-year-old son who suffered facial burns. The incident is believed to stem from a dispute between criminals.

Later the same day, Mustafa Abu Lassan, also 38 and from Jaffa, died in a car explosion on HaLohamim Street in Holon. Police are investigating whether this killing was retaliation for the murder of 16-year-old Ahmed Jabarri, who was shot outside a grocery store in Jaffa the previous Thursday. Ahmed reportedly managed to exit the vehicle on his own before being taken to the hospital.

Police have deployed large forces to the scene in Kiryat Haim, conducting searches for suspects and carrying out initial investigative actions. Additional related incidents include a man found dead in a building fire near Petah Tikva, and the head of the Jadida-Makr council seriously wounded by gunfire, with his deputy in moderate condition.
