Israeli Importer Recalls Strong Degreaser Over Safety Concerns, Urges Immediate Use Halt
Bar Bitzuah Shivuk Guy Berda Ltd., an Israeli importer, has issued an urgent recall for the strong degreaser product AQUAGEN D-455, imported from Spain by manufacturer SUCITESA. The product was distributed between October 2025 and April 2026. Testing by the Standards Institution of Israel revealed that the degreaser fails to meet Israeli safety standards (Standard 4272) for oven cleaning and grease removal products. The product poses a chemical exposure risk that can cause severe burns and eye damage. It also lacks a child safety mechanism on its packaging and does not include proper usage instructions.
Consumers who possess this product are instructed to stop using it immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a refund or to the importer’s warehouse for replacement or repair. The importer, Bar Bitzuah Shivuk Guy Berda Ltd., is located at HaMashbir 13, Holon, and can be contacted via email at [email protected] or by phone at 03-9408512. This recall notice was issued in coordination with the Standards Authority under the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
