Thailand Issues Severe Weather Warnings for Heavy Rains and High Waves

Thai authorities have issued a severe weather warning for heavy rains expected across large parts of the country from June 29 to July 3. The Meteorological Department forecasts intense rainfall due to a monsoon trough moving over northern and northeastern Thailand combined with a strengthening southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea. Alongside heavy rain, strong winds and high waves up to three meters are anticipated, particularly affecting coastal areas.

Local officials in Bangkok have urged all ships and boats to remain in port, especially small vessels in the northern Andaman Sea, to avoid dangerous conditions caused by thunderstorms and rough seas. The public has been advised to closely monitor weather updates and adjust travel plans accordingly to ensure safety during this period of extreme weather.
