Yotam Zamri Calls for Non-Governmental Inquiry into Netanyahu Case Fabrications

During a broadcast on Channel 14's program The Patriots, panelist Yotam Zamri urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to ensure the establishment of a non-governmental commission of inquiry to investigate the alleged fabrication of legal cases against Netanyahu. Zamri argued that such an inquiry is essential to restore public trust in Israel's law enforcement system, which he claims has been severely damaged by the collapse of these cases.

Zamri sharply criticized the conduct of the prosecution, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, and Liat Ben Ari, asserting that many of the charges should never have been brought forward. He noted that Netanyahu should have resigned about two months after the indictment was filed, which coincided with the signing of the Abraham Accords. Zamri emphasized that there was no bribery or valid case, describing the collapse of the cases as symbolic of the law enforcement system's demise in Israel.

He expressed hope that a non-governmental commission of inquiry is the only way to regain lost public confidence. Zamri stressed the public's need for a thorough examination of the legal proceedings surrounding Netanyahu's indictments, stating, "The case was buried, the law enforcement system of the State of Israel was buried, and only a commission of inquiry might restore my trust."
