Maccabi Tel Aviv Forward Oshae Brissett Commits to Stay Amid Partizan Belgrade Interest

Maccabi Tel Aviv has confirmed that forward Oshae Brissett will remain with the team despite recent reports of interest from Partizan Belgrade. Brissett, who signed a one-year contract with an option last summer, was subject to a buyout clause that would allow him to leave if another team paid the fee. However, due to his strong performance last season, Maccabi offered him a new two-year contract.

Last week, Maccabi and Brissett reached an agreement on the new deal, but Partizan Belgrade also presented an offer to the player. Concerns grew within Maccabi as Brissett had already left Israel for vacation without signing the final contract, raising doubts about his commitment. To secure his future with the club, Maccabi improved their offer and engaged in intensive negotiations led by Claudio Coldebella.

Following these discussions, Brissett accepted the enhanced proposal and communicated his intention to stay with Maccabi. The club now awaits his official signing. With Brissett’s retention and the recent signing of Bonzie Colson, Maccabi has solidified its forward lineup for the upcoming season, which will include Colson, Brissett, Jalen Hood-Schifino, T.J. Leaf, Will Rayman, and Gur Lavi.
