Netanyahu Requests Court Not to Increase Trial Days to Five Per Week
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared in court to oppose increasing the number of trial days in his ongoing legal case to five days per week. His defense attorney, Amit Hadad, argued that such a schedule would impose an excessive burden on the defense team. Hadad noted that only the Eichmann trial had ever been conducted five days a week, and that doing so now would require working on Saturdays and holidays, yet still not allow sufficient preparation time for witnesses. He warned that this approach would likely prolong the trial, making it impossible to conclude before March 2028, when the presiding judge, Friedman Feldman, is scheduled to retire.
