UK Van Driver Praised for Helping Armed Police Catch Foot Chase Suspect

In the town of Thanet, Kent, a van driver earned commendations after he stopped during a police chase and offered a ride to armed officers pursuing a suspect on foot. The driver pulled over beside one of the officers and invited him into the back of his vehicle, enabling the police to quickly catch and arrest the fleeing individual. Kent Police announced that the driver would be recommended for a commendation for his quick thinking and assistance. Will Lee, commander of the armed policing unit, stated, "Thanks to the driver's swift action, the officers were able to apprehend a dangerous person." He added, "He should be proud of his contribution to community safety, and we are very grateful for his help."
