Over 300 Attend Annual Zorba Merabbanan Weekend Featuring Global Jewish Educators
More than 300 participants gathered for the annual weekend event of the Zorba Merabbanan Institute, including the institute's president Rabbi Yaakov Ariel and head Rabbi Ben Zion Elgazi. The event brought together Torah lecturers and coordinators from across Israel. Among the attendees were Rabbi Boaz and Freddy Klein, emissaries from the southernmost Chabad house in the world, located in Bariloche, Argentina. They shared stories of their mission and the challenges they face serving the local Jewish community.
During the weekend, Rabbi Ben Zion Elgazi highlighted the institute's impact, stating that "the halacha study project of Zorba reaches 50,000 participants weekly across Israel and worldwide." He emphasized the goal of spreading Jewish law teachings to every Jew and described the lecturers and coordinators as loyal emissaries and partners in strengthening Torah study in the Jewish people.
The weekend was part of the institute's ongoing efforts to expand and deepen halacha study, providing a platform for Torah discussions, strengthening sessions, and sharing accumulated experience from activities both in Israel and abroad.
