Israeli Police Continue Urgent Search for Missing Autistic Man in Bnei Brak

Israeli police are actively searching for Israel Mordechai Stern, a 25-year-old man from Bnei Brak who has been missing since Thursday after leaving his home. Authorities report that Stern, who is approximately 1.76 meters tall with light skin and wears clear-framed glasses, has not been in contact and appears disoriented regarding time and place, raising serious concerns for his safety.

The search operation has involved hundreds of volunteers, police officers, and emergency responders, including a special command post established by the Aliyah Association in cooperation with the Israeli police and United Hatzalah. The search continued through Saturday, despite the Sabbath, due to a halachic ruling emphasizing the urgency given Stern's condition.

Stern is described as having low-functioning autism and a mental health background, which heightens the risk to his wellbeing. Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any information, no matter how minor, to emergency number 100 to aid in locating him. The ongoing search covers extensive areas in Bnei Brak and surrounding regions.
