Big Brother Contestant Highlights 852 Days Since Haimnot Kasao's Disappearance
The finale of Big Brother 2026 took place on Saturday night, concluding a season that lasted over three months. Raphaela Twina, who entered the house in the second round and finished in fourth place, was one of the season's standout contestants. A large number, 852, was prominently displayed on her hand, drawing viewers' attention. This number represents the days since Haimnot Kasao, a young girl, went missing. Alongside the number, the name "Haimnot" was also written.
Throughout the season, fellow contestant Noam Takla, who finished fifth, consistently raised awareness about Haimnot's disappearance by mentioning the number of days she has been missing. Haimnot Kasao was last seen on February 25, 2024, captured by security cameras near the absorption center in Safed, where she lived with her family. She was last spotted at 7:30 PM, and about three hours later, a police report was filed, initiating a search that has yet to yield any leads.
On the Wednesday before the finale, Haimnot's family marked 850 days since her disappearance with a march and rally in Tel Aviv. During the event, family members criticized the authorities for the lack of progress, calling it a moral failure. They stated, "If the state wants, it can. When the state wants, the Shin Bet knows how to leave no stone unturned, use the most advanced means, reach every corner of the country and beyond, and extract information from the walls."
