Report: Hapoel Tel Aviv Targets Jaime Pradilla
Spanish reports say Hapoel Tel Aviv is interested in Valencia power forward Jaime Pradilla, one of the rising names in Spanish basketball. The 25-year-old helped Valencia win only its second domestic championship, beating Barcelona in the final series, which has further raised his profile.
According to Ojo de Cb and other Spanish outlets, Pradilla would prefer to stay in Spain, but Valencia knows the Israeli club could meet his high buyout clause. He is under contract through 2028 and carries a release fee of 1.5 million euros.
Spanish media also say Real Madrid is the leading contender to sign him, while Anadolu Efes, coached by Pablo Laso, has also been mentioned as a possible destination. Pradilla has just finished his sixth season with Valencia and previously won EuroBasket with Spain.
This past season, he averaged 6.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 20 minutes per game in the EuroLeague. In the Spanish league, he posted 10.4 points, 6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 21 minutes per game.
