Four Hurt in Head-On Crash Near Meron, Woman in Critical Condition
A severe head-on crash on Friday on Highway 89 near the Meron junction in northern Israel left a woman in her 60s critically injured and unstable, along with three other injured people. All four victims were taken to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.
According to reports from the scene, both vehicles involved caught fire on the roadside. Some of the injured were pulled out by bystanders who witnessed the crash before emergency crews arrived.
MDA paramedic Amir Bohadana said, “This was a very serious head-on traffic accident. A woman in her 60s, who was badly injured, was lying on the road, and after our initial treatment she was evacuated in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital in serious and unstable condition.”
MDA also evacuated one person in moderate condition and two others with light injuries. Police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
