Ofer Yannay Gifts Hapoel Players Luxury Watches Worth €50,000 Each
Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Ofer Yannay marked the club’s end-of-season dinner by giving the team an extravagant gift, despite the side finishing trophyless after losing the final to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Each player received a luxury Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch, with the price of each watch reported at no less than €50,000. The gift came at the club’s season-ending meal for the Reds.
The report noted that Serbian media had said weeks earlier that Yannay had promised the players the watches at the end of the season, and he followed through on that promise. Yannay also said that the entire coaching staff will receive the same watch as well.
