Father of October 7 victim and hostage to run in Likud primaries
Eli Shtivi, the father of Idan Shtivi, who was killed and abducted on October 7, announced that he will run in the Likud primary election.
Shtivi said he sees the decision as a mission driven by his son’s fate and by the broader public tragedy. “I am in a situation of giving up everything except the mission assigned to me by my son Idan,” he said. “I want to speak for everyone who was murdered, to do as much good as possible for the citizens of Israel. The place where I can have the greatest influence is the Likud, of course.”
