Netanyahu Says Israel Still Has Work to Do Against Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on Thursday evening at the graduation ceremony for the 75th officers’ course at Bahad 1, against the backdrop of fighting on multiple fronts and talks between the United States and Iran on a final agreement.
He said Israel still has unfinished business with its enemies. “There are still missions to carry out, there are still things to do against Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah. They do not have much ability to act,” he said. He also said, “There is also something to do against Hezbollah’s explosive drones, we are working on it with full force.”
Netanyahu added that Israel had fundamentally changed the rules of the game in the region. “We broke the fear barrier through initiative and offensiveness,” he said. He also invoked the biblical principle, “If someone comes to kill you, rise early to kill him.”
In his remarks, the prime minister specifically mentioned Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah, and linked the message to the current regional tensions and the U.S.-Iran negotiations.
