Satmar Wedding Draws Thousands as Rebbe Dances With Guests From Abroad

Thousands of Hasidim, rabbis, donors, and guests from overseas gathered last week for the wedding of the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Shlomo Fisher, the longtime shamash of the Satmar Rebbe, in Kiryat Yoel. The celebration was marked by the presence and active participation of the Satmar Rebbe throughout the event.

At the chuppah, the Rebbe personally officiated at the kiddushin. Later, after birkat hamazon, he recited the seven blessings and then danced energetically in front of the bride. He also danced with the groom and the families of both sides in moments described by the report as deeply uplifting.
