Residents of Kadumim in Samaria were ordered overnight, between Wednesday and Thursday, to remain inside their homes and lock doors and windows after heavy gunfire was heard from the nearby Arab village of Qadum toward the settlement in Judea and Samaria.
Kadumim's local emergency center issued a notice saying the security department and other forces were checking suspicions that shots were fired from Qadum toward the community. The instruction to residents came as a precaution while the situation was being assessed.
Security forces are carrying out extensive searches in the streets of the settlement and in the surrounding area in an effort to locate the source of the gunfire and identify any suspects. No injuries or further developments were mentioned in the report.
