On Channel 14’s "The Patriots," panelist Irit Linor launched a sharp attack on Israel’s judiciary, comparing U.S. President Donald Trump with the High Court and arguing that Trump is "more supportive of Israel" than the Supreme Court. She said this despite criticism in Israel of Trump over negotiations with Iran.
Linor also accused the court of openly hostile treatment toward government and Knesset representatives who appear before it. In her words, when those officials come to argue their case, "you know they will get a flying slipper from the judges," and she suggested the only remaining question is how Israel’s representatives should behave and speak under that pressure.
She added a separate claim about the Supreme Court’s handling of hearings involving attorney David Peter, saying, "The Supreme Court forbade broadcasting all the hearings where Peter represents." Linor said Peter is "simply more one of us," and repeated that she was not making it up.
Her remarks prompted surprise in the studio, with host Yinon Magal and other panelists asking for confirmation. Linor responded that one could even petition the High Court over the decision, with Peter representing the petition, though she noted that doing so would involve about 100,000 shekels in expenses.
