In a festive ceremony in Jerusalem, the great-grandson of the Munkacs Belz Rebbe was brought into the local Munkacs Belz Talmud Torah. The child is the grandson of the Rebbe’s son, Rabbi Aharon Rokach, who serves as community rabbi in Jerusalem and is married to the daughter of the Rebbe of Ratzfert, and he is also the son of the Rebbe’s favored grandson, Rabbi Yoel Rokach, who is married into the Halberstam and Shapira rabbinic families.
The event ended with the Rebbe distributing blue pachelech, small gifts, to the children present. The celebration was described as especially emotional and drew the community into a warm, public show of joy.
