Hasidic singer Moti Wiesel was injured on Tuesday night when a sudden fire broke out during one of his performances, leaving him with significant burns to his face. He received initial medical treatment after the incident.
According to people close to Wiesel, he “was saved by a miracle,” is in good condition, and is recovering at home. They added that he plans to go ahead with a bar mitzvah celebration for his son tomorrow and mark it with family members and friends from the music industry.
Despite the pain from the burns, Wiesel is expected to attend the event as scheduled. His entourage said the family and fellow artists from the Hasidic music scene will gather with him for the celebration.
Wiesel is a well-known and popular figure in the ultra-Orthodox community. The article notes that he has recently appeared at several music events, including a lively Purim performance at Kikar HaShabbat studios and a special medley titled “Be’eit Neilat Sha’ar” produced by singer Bentzi Stein.
