Hapoel Beersheba is continuing preparations for its upcoming Champions League qualifying campaign against Vikingur or Gyori, with training camp set to begin on Monday. The club expects foreign stars Kings Kangwa and Lucas Ventura to arrive last, directly at camp, because there are currently no acceptable offers for either player.
At the same time, new gaps have emerged in talks with captain and center back Miguel Vitor. According to the report, Vitor has been offered a one-year extension, but he is apparently unhappy with the proposal and, for now, does not want to sign.
Another defender, Jibril Diop, is also expected to go straight to the training camp, but for personal reasons. Beersheba’s preparations are therefore moving forward amid uncertainty over several squad members.
There is also concern over Eilon Almog, who returned from his loan spell at Ashdod with a knee injury. He has been unable to train and will undergo tests to determine the diagnosis and the severity of the injury.
