Hapoel Jerusalem Parts Ways With Cassius Winston

Hapoel Jerusalem has officially released guard Cassius Winston after an uneven first season with the club. The announcement was made on June 23, 2026, after Winston failed to maintain consistency throughout the campaign.

The team said it had decided not to continue the relationship as it begins building its roster for next season. Sasha Obradovic, who joined the club in recent days, has already started that process.

In its statement, Hapoel Jerusalem said, "Today we are parting ways with Cassius Winston, who will not continue with us next season. Cass, thank you for your professionalism, your commitment and the heart you left on the floor every moment."

Winston signed a one-year deal last summer and earned about $350,000. The club has already announced another guard signing, Jalen Smith, who has extensive experience in Europe.
