Dylan Dror, the singer, actor and YouTuber, has officially been cast in his first Festigal, the Hanukkah 2026 production, according to a report published June 23, 2026. The news comes after he turned 18 in January, finished high school this week and is now preparing to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces.
Dror had long been seen as a rising star, building a large following on YouTube and TikTok, releasing songs, and starring as the lead in a youth series for six seasons. He also appeared in last year’s Hanukkah stage show, "Solstarz." The Festigal role is described as a dream come true after a disappointment last year.
According to the report, Dror was already in advanced talks with the Festigal production team last year, but the deal collapsed after the production shortened the run to three weeks. At the time, he was still 17, and the demanding schedule created a legal obstacle that prevented him from joining the main cast. Now that he is 18, the barrier has been removed.
In a February interview, Dror said he hoped the deal would happen. Asked whether performing in the Festigal was really his dream, he replied, "Of course. Very interesting." He joins a lineup that already includes Noa Kirel, Shahar Taboch and Ran Danker, while talks continue with Itay Levy, Shira Zaluf, Hili Toldano and Idan Telem. Dror’s representatives declined to comment, and the Festigal production said only that it is still in the casting stage and no final decisions have been made.
