Singer, actor and YouTuber Dylan Dror has been officially cast in the 2026 Festigal, marking his first appearance in the Hanukkah show. The report says the 18-year-old, who recently finished high school and is preparing to enlist in the IDF, is fulfilling a long-standing dream after missing out on the production last year.
Dror first turned 18 in January. He has built a large following on YouTube and TikTok, released songs, starred as the lead in a youth series for six seasons, and appeared in last year’s Hanukkah stage production, "Solstars." According to the report, his first Festigal role is now confirmed for the 2026 holiday production.
Last year, Dror was already in advanced negotiations with the Festigal team, which wanted him in the cast. That deal fell through after the production shortened its run to three weeks. Because Dror was still 17 at the time, and only turned 18 after the shows ended, the tight schedule created a legal obstacle that kept him out of the main cast.
In a February interview, Dror said he hoped the opportunity would still come. Asked about the failed talks and the possibility of performing in Hanukkah, he said, "I really hope it happens." When asked whether it was truly his dream, he answered, "Of course. Very interesting." The article also says Noa Kirel has already secured a spot in the show, with Shahar Tavoch and Ran Danker joining her, while Itay Levy, Shira Zevulun, Hili Todano and Idan Telam are in advanced talks. Dror’s team declined to comment, and the production said, "We are in the casting stage and no decisions have been made yet."
