Amir Banai Officially Joins Star-Studded Cast of Festigal 2026

Amir Banai, the actor and singer currently gaining attention as a standout contestant on the current season of "Dancing with the Stars," has officially joined the cast of Festigal 2026, the major Hanukkah musical production. This will mark Banai's debut performance on the Festigal stage. Banai, son of actress Orna Banai and nephew to Meir and Evitar Banai, has built an independent career in recent years. In a recent interview, he expressed pride in his family name, saying, "I am my mother's son and always will be, and that is something I love." On "Dancing with the Stars," Banai dances with Romi Nof, one of the show's top dancers, and impressed judges with a high score of 32 points in the season premiere.

Festigal 2026 is assembling a glittering lineup. Singer Eden Ben Zaken will appear as the guest artist and is reportedly set to earn over 2 million shekels, potentially making her the highest-paid guest artist in Festigal history. Shahar Taboch will return for his third Festigal appearance, following his first-place win in last year's song competition alongside Eden Golan with the song "Switch." Other names reportedly in talks with the production include singer Shira Zaluf, who captivated audiences in the latest season of "The Next Star" and at the national torch lighting ceremony, as well as social media star Omer Levy, who boasts millions of followers.
