Media personality and social activist Nataly Dadon, 42, has become engaged to her partner and the father of her son, Amit Perlis, 50, after about 10 years of an on-off relationship. The engagement was first reported on Sunday evening, when Perlis proposed with a large diamond ring.
Dadon and Perlis began dating more than a decade ago and initially kept the relationship out of the spotlight. In 2016, Dadon publicly revealed that she was pregnant and decided to raise her son Rif on her own; only later did it become known that Perlis was the father.
The couple reunited in 2019 after three years apart, but their relationship continued to include breakups and reconciliations. In March, they got back together again after six months separated, and this time they appear to have decided to formalize the relationship.
In a recent interview with Walla Celebs’ podcast, Dadon said she wanted marriage after her personal journey. She said, “I had to discover my spiritual decline in order to get up from there and say I want a ring.” She added that after her first trip to a rabbi, she came home and told people, “I want a ring and a child,” and later said she did not want “sparkle,” only “love, marriage, children,” and a simpler life.
