A 43-year-old resident of Acre, Gil Dayan, has been indicted after an altercation at a tenants' meeting in his apartment building. According to the charge, the dispute broke out while the representative of the company managing the building was updating residents on relevant matters.
The confrontation escalated when Dayan shouted at him, "Where is my money?" The manager said he would not continue the meeting and announced he was leaving. At that point, the indictment says, Dayan attacked him while he was in his car, headbutted him twice and bit his nose.
The victim bled heavily from his nose and needed medical treatment. Witnesses at the scene intervened and separated the two men, but Dayan reportedly continued to curse and threaten the complainant.
After the investigation was completed and the evidence was assembled, prosecutors filed the indictment in court on June 19, 2026, and asked to keep Dayan in custody until the end of the legal proceedings.
